The Personnel and Business Committee met on Feb. 23 in Twin Bridges, Mont. with a familiar agenda item to consider.
Last Monday, Lobo Construction began re-roofing the pavilion at the Madison County Fairgrounds in Twin Bridges, Mont. The approximately $82,000 project was funded by an insurance claim from windstorm damage accrued last fall.
Twin Bridges is no stranger to district fame – with their boys’ most recent win they’ve taken home five straight district titles. But for the past four years, Manhattan Christian and Twin weren’t even in the same district. For the two years prior to Twin’s streak, when Manhattan and Twin shared the district, Manhattan took the title.
The Ennis School Board narrowed the district’s search for an architect to design its high school’s expansion down to three firms at their February meeting.
Twin Bridges senior Charlie Kruer hit the Panthers with his best shot during the matchup between Twin Bridges and Sheridan on Jan. 26 – individually stacking up as many points as his competitors did in total during the 61-18 game.
The Ennis lady Mustangs knew they’d have a tough battle against their Twin Bridges counterparts on Jan. 22. The game on Twin’s court played out to be a close one, and the Mustangs galloped home with a win 31-25.
The Twin Bridges Public Library was in need of a facelift.
Brenda Pollorena, library director, was told at one point that the red, yellow and blue diamond-patterned carpet was rejected from a Target store. A chunk of that carpet was cut out and put on the front desk with glass placed over it for a glossy finish.
At Twin Bridges School District’s January board meeting, quite a few community members attended in-person and virtually to express their support for school staff and programs.
Being familiar with the powerhouse Twin Bridges team, Harrison boys knew they had their work cut out for them at their Jan. 14 matchup in Twin Bridges. Leading up to the game the Harrison Wildcats were feeling good, coming off of a home win against Gardiner on January 9.
This holiday season, school districts in Madison County moved their Christmas concerts and plays from the stage to the screen. Ennis, Alder, Harrison and Sheridan School Districts all opted to film students’ performances and distribute them to parents online.
