Back to school sports

Ah, back to school season. Backpacks are packed, thinking caps are on, and students, parents and teachers are readying for another year of learning. There’s a return to classes, to friendships, and to the competitive action of fall athletics.

Honorary “E” Fall 2020

A year ago, Ennis Booster Club reinstalled the tradition of giving out an Honorary “E” to a community member who we feel has been an exceptional supporter of our youth athletes. This fall, our Honorary “E” recipient is Vurnie Kay Barnett.

Eagles swoop in on the Mustangs

Manhattan Christian slammed Ennis on the court Sept. 25. Their spikes dove with aggression into the gaps in the Mustangs’ formation. Somewhere in the third set, the Mustangs started filling the gap better. The hard spikes from the Eagles continued to be a struggle, but Ennis had redeeming moments.
