Norris Connection Road East is not a county road, according the Madison County Commission Office. Documentation that Madison County’s road review committee retrieved indicated to the county commissioners that  Norris Connection  Road East is not the county’s responsibility.

Eleven new proposals were voted on at the Montana High School Association meeting Jan. 20. 

Schools across the state sent representatives to Billings for the annual meeting. Each school had one vote for each proposal. The majority wins. Some proposals will not affect Madison County schools either way, but others could have impacts. 

Christmas Trees at the White House have a lengthy history that has changed with the times. Currently, a rotation of states supplies the annual tree, and one year a former Alder resident chopped down the tree meant for the Capitol Building.

Ennis girls’ basketball returns to the court as an athletic team with less experience than in recent past years. 

Twin Bridges School Board met on Nov. 12 to discuss health insurance and upcoming field trips. Past agenda items including solar panels and the drainage system were revisited.

A survey to help identify housing needs in Madison County showed a majority of responders (61 percent) said that housing costs are 30 percent or more of their income. 

Since freshman year of college, Landon Dybdal’s goal was to become the Chief Executive Officer for a hospital before he turned 30. 

He accomplished that goal in Jordan, Montana’s Garfield County Health Center at 26. Two years later, Dybdal moved to Sheridan, Montana, to fill the CEO position at Ruby Valley Medical Center.
