Will Gilmore honored at West Point

Ennis graduate, Will Gilmore made the West Point Dean’s List fall semester 2019. He also received the Superintendent’s Award. This award for achievement is awarded to the top 15% of each class and each awardee received a gold wreath to wear on their uniform. He also received the Recondo badge which is the physical award.

Boys and Barb Wire

The boys of the Ruby Valley Boys knew each other while going to college at Montana State University (MSU). They played at the Eagles in Bozeman together, appreciating that venue for its sizable dance floor. “It’s a whole lot easier playing when people are dancing,” Jim Anderson said.

Twin Bridges followed up their loss against Ennis with two conference wins.The Falcons and Mustangs had a close game until the end. The slap of a blocked shot rang in the half. Twin Bridges’ Hadley Johnson smacked a last-second shot from Shae Lovett of the Mustangs.

MADISON COUNTY ROAD REVIEW

Norris Connection Road East is not a county road, according the Madison County Commission Office. Documentation that Madison County’s road review committee retrieved indicated to the county commissioners that  Norris Connection  Road East is not the county’s responsibility.

Mustangs turn the tables

The Ennis Mustangs were behind the Absarokee Huskies before Maida Knapton and Wyatt Fredson were announced homecoming king and queen. The Huskies scored twice before the Mustangs reached the endzone toward the end of the second quarter. The second half started with the Huskies leading by six points.

Falcons didn’t go easily

Tough competitions lead to two losses for Twin Bridges volleyball

The Falcons volleyball team traveled to White Sulphur Spring to take on the Hornets Sept. 27. The competition was close throughout the game, but the Hornets came out on top in five rounds.
