According to an assessment from Safe Tech Solutions, a consulting firm that specializes in emergency medical services, the long-term sustainability of the Ennis Ambulance Service is questionable. Stakeholders of EAS met in the Madison Valley Bank conference room to discuss the assessment Aug. 12.
On July 17, an Aviat-1A Husky crashed into a meadow 35 miles south of Ennis. Allen Kenitzer, with the Office of Communications at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), described this type of plane as a, “two-seat, high-wing, utility aircraft,” via email correspondence.

Phase one of the Madison River Foundation’s Three Dollar Bridge Riparian Restoration Project, consisting of constructing a wooden plank-bridge trail over the wetland area, was completed on June 3. The second phase of installing and removing electric fencing started the next day.
ENNIS — A 17-year-old male was attacked by a bear south of Ennis on Sunday. He fortunately survived the attack with relatively minor injuries.
The teen and his family were visiting their cabin in Wolf Creek, about 30 miles south of Ennis, on the east side of the Madison Valley. He was out looking for shed antlers in the area.
