About 25 years ago a group of friends and coworkers banded together and decided to make a difference for wildlife and wild lands in their area. With little fanfare, a bit of organization, some beer and food, the group began to remove abandoned fences from National Forest lands in and around the Madison Valley.
Words and paintings are hard to match. Stephano Sutherlin is well spoken and easily spits pieces of a lifetime of adventure through the course of a conversation. His syllables, while eloquent, are pale and brittle compared to the vibrant details he lays on canvas so prolifically.
An opportunity that not many get to experience, but once a year everyone can live in another time period, something that is wished often, simpler times, elegant clothes and amazing memories to be had.
