Mustang football strides into season

The Ennis Mustangs have gotten off to a good start this season with an upperclassmen dominant roster with four wins and zero losses thus far against Seeley Swan, Lone Peak, Sheridan, and Simms. The Simms game was a wild one with an electric atmosphere. The first half ended with the Mustangs over the Tigers 23-20. The second half was all Mustangs taking over the game with a 57-28 ending.

Quarterback and linebacker Clintin Buyan had 204 yards in the air, throwing 3 touchdowns with 189 yards on the ground and running in 3 touchdowns. Buyan also had 8 solo tackles and 5 assists. Running Back and Defensive End Chaz Veland ended the game with a receiving touchdown for 65 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns with 61 yards on the ground. He had 4 solo tackles with 2 quarterback sacks.

Running Back and Middle Linebacker Vance Wingard added a 60 yard receiving touchdown and had 107 rushing yards with one rushing touchdown. He also made 8 solo tackles with 10 assists. Linebacker Zach Foss added 3 solo tackles and had 6 assists with a tide turning fumble recovery. Senior Defensive and Offensive lineman, Jeremya Mauch added 4 solo tackles with three assists. He also was dominant on the offensive side with multiple pancakes that allowed the other defenders to make things happen.
