TIPS FROM YOUR CHILDRENS’ TEACHERS
Madison County teachers have some tips to help parents continue their children’s education at home.
FOR MIDDLE-SCHOOL PARENTS
1 If you as a parent don't understand and the child is struggling, ask the teacher for help. Emailing the teacher is such an important way to communicate. Teachers don't know there is an issue if no one asks for help. And, it's okay to not understand an assignment!
2. Check your child's work. I know that they are getting older and should have more responsibility, but in school, the teacher is always checking their work. Making sure they understood and followed the directions is really important.
3. Hold them accountable for doing quality work. I tell my students quality over quantity right now.
