Madison Valley Manor at 87.5% vaccination rate for residents

Madison County COVID & Vaccination Update

As of April 27, Madison County reported 18 active coronavirus cases. There have been 775 confirmed positive cases since the beginning of the pandemic. No residents are currently hospitalized.

Montana reported 965 active Covid-19 cases on Tuesday. Madison County Incident Command Team Leader Joe Brummell said the state has not been under 1,000 active cases in six months.

Madison County has 2,285 residents fully immunized and 2,946 have received their first dose.

At Tobacco Root Mountains Care Center (TRMCC) in Sheridan, no residents or staff are quarantined. The county prevalence rate is 5.2%, so both care facilities are testing staff twice weekly, and residents as needed.

At Madison Valley Manor (MVM) in Ennis, two admissions are scheduled for this week and the vaccination rate of residents is up to 87.5%.

HB 121 has been passed and signed by Gov. Greg Gianforte. This bill requires elected officials to approve local health and officer actions. The Governor’s Office also announced the state unemployment rate dropped to 3.8% in March.

“We’re a little short on the workforce right now, but we’ll see what happens,” Brummell said.
