Hunter’s Feed

Get your game on!

F riday, October 21 heralded the day before big game hunting season opening and the 36th Annual Hunters’ Feed on Main Street in Ennis. The afternoon invited “chefs of all abilities to offer up their best and most creative wild game dishes for all to vote upon.” The tradition was started as a means for hunters to clean out their freezers before restocking them with fresh meant.

Main Street was overflowing with creative dishes, smiling neighbors and adventurous tasters. "What a great event! Thirty five tasting stations, five judges and over 600 tasters,” said Adrienne Goldsworthy, Ennis Chamber Executive Director.
