MISSOULA – In late April, Sonya Germann was chosen to lead the state’s Forestry Division, the largest segment of the state’s Department of Natural Resources and Conservation (DNRC).
ENNIS - Ennis kicked off the month of June with a community-wide celebration of some of Montana’s favorite things: good food, good booze, good company and a good time.
ENNIS - The Madisonian is happy to introduce its newest staff member, reporter Reagan Colyer. Colyer joined the editorial team on May 21, after community reporter Caitlin Avey transitioned to a new position in Helena.

VIRIGINA CITY – Good weather resulted in a large crowd of people from all over, judging from the variety of license plates, turning out for Virginian City’s Memorial Day parade.
The parade took place on Saturday, May 26 at 1:30 p.m., and marked the opening day of the town’s tourist season.
MADISON COUNTY - Anderson-Simpson Post 89 of The American Legion will conduct Memorial Day Veteran’s Remembrance Ceremonies at the Sheridan, Laurin, Taylor (Alder), Nevada City and Virginia City cemeteries on Memorial Day, May 28.
ENNIS - The memorial service for a veteran who wished to build a memorial to honor all veterans took place Saturday afternoon, May 19, at the Ennis Veterans Memorial in front of the community school.
There, people from all over the U.S. came to honor and remember Lieutenant Colonel Andrew “Andy” DeBona.
ENNIS -- The Madison Theatre hosted a big crowd -- about 80 people -- Tuesday evening, May 1.
They’d come to view a film, “Walking Man: No One Does It Alone,” and listen to the subject of that film, Mark Norwine, share his family’s experience dealing with what he called a “stigmatized” subject, mental illness.
SHERIDAN – Christ Episcopal Church, located on Main Street in Sheridan, is celebrating Pentecost and the creation of the Christian church and kicking off a campaign to restore the church’s historic stained glass windows on Sunday, May 20.
Patsy Eckert has been painting since she was 14 years old.
“Art promotes creativity and imagination,” she said.
