Reclamation mining efforts in the Tobacco Root Mountains near Pony have left many area residents with questions, which were brought up during a public meeting at the Pony School on Thursday, Oct. 30.
“There’s been some misinformation out there,” said Cornie Hudson, field manager with the Bureau of Land Management out of Dillon. “We wanted to get all the players in one room and have an information-sharing meeting.”
Representatives from the BLM and Forest Service hosted the informational discussion, which was attended by more than 70 people.
