The results are in!
The Madison Valley Rural Fire District Board had two trustee seats open in the election. Incumbent candidates, Bernie Oglietti and Ted Liss were voted in with 327 and 309 votes, respectively, according to Peggy Kaatz Stemler, county clerk and recorder and election administrator.
Voters in Harrison and Ennis also had the option to make the Madison Valley Medical Center’s current mill levy permanent. In Ennis, 495 people voted for making the levy permanent and 174 were against. In Harrison, 47 were for the permanent levy and 32 were opposed, Kaatz Stemler said.
Twin Bridges was the only school board in the county with a contested election—three candidates vied for two open trustee seats. Incumbent Lori Harshbarger was elected with 147 votes and Gary Konen will fill the remaining seat after garnering 143 votes, school clerk JoyAnn Breakall said.
The Sheridan School Board asked voters for a mill levy to benefit the high school’s general fund in the amount of $20,537.95. According to clerk Becky Larson, the mill levy passed—202 people voted for it and 117 voted against.
The Ennis School Board chose to hold a fund transfer vote to move $900,000 from the adult education budget into a flex fund. According to school clerk Ginger Martello, the fund transfer passed with 521 votes for the transfer and 127 against.
