The Twin Bridges Community Association will host the annual Fall Festival on Friday, Oct. 5, bringing the community together the end of the harvest season with friends and family.
The event will run from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Ruby Valley Bank parking lot on Main Street in Twin Bridges, combining a barbecue get together with bratwurst, hot dogs and drinks with fun-filled family activities for community members of all ages.
“It’s kind of a huge mix of people that end up showing up,” said Twin Bridges resident Jack Leber. “Lots of neighbors hanging out with neighbors.”
In addition to the barbecue there will be bobbing for apples, face and pumpkin painting along with a family photo booth. Proceeds from the event will benefit the non-profit TBCA, which is responsible for the flowered benches along Main Street, the Christmas Stroll and the Rivers Edge Gallery and classes, as well as the Floating Flotillas alumni weekend, Cruz by the River car show and seasonal decorations on Main Street.
With autumn encroaching and winter right around the corner, the Fall Festival is a perfect time catch up with old friends and new faces from around the area.
“We really get a really rounded group of folks,” Leber said. “It’s just a time to get together and visit with your neighbors before the snow flies, I guess.”
