“The Montana Department of Transportation promptly informed Madison County officials on Saturday, April 13, 2024, that the Montana 41 S bridge in Twin Bridges was ready to reopen immediately, bringing relief to all,” wrote Jennifer Martens, Public Information Officer Madison County Disaster and Emergency Services (DES).
In 2010, the Whitehall Senior Center, an activity and meals hub for seniors in Whitehall, was trying to unload a bus and a van it had been using to transport its patrons and residents of a nearby assisted-living home.
Ennis School held a meeting for those interested in becoming bus drivers on March 27. While the meeting was slim with recruits, transportation supervisor John Lee provided information about school bus routes, trainings and certifications, and potential benefits.
