Clash of the cats: Sheridan and Harrison go head-to-head in conference match

It was purple versus purple, cat versus cat in the Sheridan gymnasium on Tuesday, Sept. 26. The Lady Panthers hosted the Lady Wildcats for mid-season league action and were able to walk away victorious. The “W” put the Panthers in fifth place in league standings, as of Sept. 27.

Bob Cleverly All Star Game – blue team gets victory

It is a game known throughout eight-man, class C football – the ‘Clev’ game.
In its 34th year, the Bob Cleverly All Star Game saw Madison County athletes take to the field, joining together with past rivals for the title. This year, thanks to a switch up of districts, Ennis and Twin Bridges senior players once again put on opposing jerseys, and battled each other for a chance to be champions. The blue team, led by five Ennis players, prevailed.

Madison County athletes are back in action as track and field, golf begin

Before summer comes spring, and for many of Madison County’s youth, that means sports. March 13 marked the beginning of track and golf practices, and many students and coaches around the county are ready to get back in action.

Weather forces cancelation of most Madison County basketball games

Due to plummeting temperatures, high winds and blowing and drifting snow, all Madison County basketball games for Dec. 16 were postponed. The Harrison vs. Sheridan game was rescheduled for Jan. 6, and the Ennis vs. Twin Bridges game was rescheduled for Feb. 7.
