Madison County Commissioners met with outgoing District Court Judge Loren Tucker, Clerk of District Court Dianne Kaatz and Sheriff Roger Thompson on Friday, Jan. 6 to look at blueprints of the intended renovations to the historic Madison County Courthouse in Virginia City.

Every year, a Madison County school hosts a countywide school board meeting, where superintendents, principals, clerks and board members from Alder, Ennis, Harrison, Sheridan and Twin Bridges gather for dinner and a presentation with county and state officials.

Collision on Upper Ruby Road, life flight called

At 10:22 a.m., a call for assistance came through the Madison County Sheriff’s Office dispatch center, requesting the Ruby Valley Ambulance and Alder Fire Department respond to a collision on the Upper Ruby Road, around eight miles south of the Ruby Reservoir.

Crash near Madison Foods

At 1:50 p.m. on Sept. 1, a vehicle waiting to turn left into the Madison Foods parking lot in Ennis was rear ended by a northbound car, whose driver was not paying attention, according to Madison County Sheriff Roger Thompson. Fortunately, the only injury was a bloody nose, Thompson said.
