Economic development council meets at newly restored round barn in Twin Bridges

The round barn north of Twin Bridges, which was constructed by Noah Armstrong in 1882 and restored last year, hosted members of the Madison County Economic Development Council, county commissioners and other interested parties on June 29 for a meeting of the minds.
“Instead of our normal set up, where you hear a lot of talk from (me), I want to do it a little differently,” said Rob Gilmore MCEDC coordinator. “I want to hear from all of you. I thought we could share how things have been in our areas.”

County commits $20K to economic development

A new agreement between Madison County and the Northern Rocky Mountain Economic Development District (NRMEDD) will give businesses and not-for-profits in the Madison and Ruby Valleys resources for economic growth.
“What is important to me is the end result,” said Les Gilman, a Madison County Economic Development Council board member and owner of IH Cattle Company near Alder. “In the end, we want economic development.”
