After the Madison County Fair Board decided on the top four priority projects at the Madison County Fairgrounds, it was time for a public hearing. Craig Erickson with Great West Engineering, along with the fair board, hosted a public meeting for discussion of the fairgrounds master plan on Nov. 9 in Twin Bridges.

When the project to replace eight culverts along Moore Creek in downtown Ennis commenced at the end of November 2015, the scheduled completion date was set for the first week of July.
The town of Sheridan held a public hearing on March 21 to discuss a preliminary engineering report about the town’s water system prepared by Great West Engineering. During their regularly scheduled meeting, which followed the public hearing, council members unanimously passed a motion to move forward with the project.
Construction is finally rolling on the Moore Creek culverts near Main Street in Ennis.
“We did some exploratory excavation to uncover water lines and fiber optic lines (near First Street and Main Street),” said Dan Karlin, project manager with Great West Engineering. “That (fiber optic) line feeds the whole town, all the way over to Alder … it was not where we thought it would be, and it was al lot shallower than we anticipated.”
Jeremiah Theys with Great West Engineering is currently at work updating Madison County’s bridge and road standards.
Sheridan Town Council appoints new president; fills vacant seat
On Thursday, Nov. 5, the Virginia City Town Council and around 15 interested community members gathered at the rehearsal hall in town to hear a presentation from Dan McCauley, Great West Engineering, about potential water and wastewater improvements to the town’s infrastructure.
