Students visit legislators, capitol in Helena

rotundaHarrison students spent the day in Helena on Feb. 20 observing the 63rd Montana Legislative Session and taking part in legislative action along with other students from across the state for the Class C Day of Advocacy.  Eighth graders, Zach Jackson, Doug Christensen and Isabella Arcangeli were accompanied by teacher Linda Ehlers, board member Ann Hokanson and Superintendent Fred Hofman.  They were introduced to the Montana House of Representatives after passing out pamphlets to the legislators as they entered the chamber floor. The school’s annual/newsletter staff prepared the pamphlets.  Harrison staff said the students represented the school and community well, letting the legislators know what is going on at Harrison School and what is important to them.
