Playoff play

Mustang leadership second to none

The Mustangs battled highly ranked Fairview on the road in the first round of playoffs on Oct. 31. They were defeated 6-44, ending their season.

“(I am)very proud of this team battling a slow start and playing some excellent football as the season went on. The guys played an excellent 1st half against Fairview and missed out on a few breaks that could have helped shape the game. The size difference ended up wearing us down but they fought from beginning to end. The younger squad was able to go in and march the field on the final possession and get us on the board which was also extremely encouraging to see. Mostly, I'm just proud of this team, in particular the senior class. Their leadership this year was second to none,” said Mustangs’ head coach Chris Hess.
