Panthers football pounds the Huskies to go 3-1

The Panthers rolled into Absarokee and had one thing on their mind. Play solid football. They played the Huskies in a must win game for both teams. This game would put one team or the other in control of their own destiny. The two teams sparred in the middle of the field during the first two possessions, each forcing the other to punt. The Panthers had a sustained drive and scored first on a run by quarterback, Kole Hill. The Huskies answered quickly with a long pass play and the quarter ended 7-6 Panthers. The second went much like the first with the Panthers scoring and taking a 14-6 lead into the locker at the half. In the second half, the Panthers came out, scored 25 more points, and capped the fourth quarter with a 32-yard field goal by Kicker, Caden Theis to take the game with a score of 39- 20. Standouts in the game were Kole Hill who ran for four touchdowns and passed for one more, Hartson Van Houten who had 14 tackles and Kaiden Batzler who had 10 tackles and 1 interception.

Stats leaders:

The Panthers had 162 rushing yards on 44 carries and 4 touchdowns and completed 10-16 passes for 189 yards and one touchdown. Kaiden Batzler had 10 tackles and an interception, Hartson Van Houten had 14 tackles and Coleman Gilman had six tackles. Kaiden Batzler had six receptions for 141 yards and a touchdown.
