Finalists limbo

A second game against Fort Benton in the 2020 State C Boys Basketball Tournament remains in in the way of Twin Bridges placing third.

The tournament in Missoula was halted the night before the final games due to the spread of the coronavirus reaching Montana. It is uncertain if the final games will be rescheduled.

The Falcons and the Long Horns met in the tournament’s first round. Twin Bridges dropped to the lower bracket after losing the game March 11 (48-39). The Falcons swooped-up the next two games, taking a similar path in the lower bracket as they did in the Western C Divisional Tournament.

The Falcons defeated Jordan (65-54) and the Western C Divisional Tournament Champions, Manhattan Christian (67-53) Friday. Fort Benton joined Twin Bridges in the lower bracket when they lost to Fairview High School March 12 (44-37). Fairview and Scobey were supposed to play for the championship on Saturday as well.

The games were left undermined and it is not known if the Falcons will have a chance to take Fort Benton by the horns.
