The Greater Ruby Valley Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture will host its annual Ag Appreciation Banquet on Saturday, Oct. 27 in Twin Bridges, an opportunity for local businesses to get together and show their appreciation for the people throughout the community who support them.
Event organizer Chris Noon explains the idea behind the banquet is to show a sense of gratitude to the ranchers and businesses involved in the local agriculture economy.
“I think what they do and how they work in the community basically pays all of our wages one way or another,” Noon said. “This is just our way of saying thanks.”
The Chamber is inviting local businesses to sponsor individual tables for the event, which includes eight seats, drink tickets and a privately catered meal for $250 per table.
The menu for this years banquet is a “full scale ranchers dinner,” with appetizers like hot wings, meatballs and tortilla rolls and entrees including baron-beef and chicken marsala with raspberry, pasta and green salad in addition to green beans and garlic potatoes. The desert menu features cake, brownies and cookies, and there will be a no host bar.
Entertainment for the evening includes a representative from John Deere who will give a presentation on technology in conjunction with machinery, and later on there will be live music performed by Great Falls country music artist Trent Brooks.
The event will be held at Ruby Valley Aviation starting at 5:30 p.m. For more information on the GRVCCA Ag Appreciation Banquet, contact Chris Noon at 596-5848.
