Schulz named new MACo president

On Sept. 24, Dave Schulz became the first Madison County commissioner to accept the role of president for the Montana Association of Counties (MACo). Schulz, who has been a Madison County commissioner for 14 years, is now the face of MACo and will represent the organization for an entire year.

Sports

Every Friday morning throughout the fall sports season, Sheridan community members rally to support the football and volleyball players with breakfast at 8 a.m.

“Since we don’t have school on Fridays it works out,” said Stephanie Haag, a football mom who helps organize the meals. “Different businesses [around Sheridan] sponsor each breakfast … they either provide the food or donate money for the meal.”

Opinions

Dear Editor,

On Friday, Sept. 12, at approximately 10 a.m., I was opening my little store in Ennis with the help of my golden retriever. I was interrupted for a very brief time by a phone call and in that short period of time, someone(s) decided to dognap my sweet 6-year-old golden.

I’m a senior citizen and she is my companion dog. Now two hearts are broken and it’s very difficult to be here alone.

You know where you got her so please return her. No questions. $1,000 reward. Or get in touch with White and White Veterinary Clinic in Ennis, and I will come get her.
