During the Twin Bridges Council meeting on March 13, Madison County Sheriff Roger Thompson reported a 30-year-old male was found dead outdoors in Virginia City, apparently killed by cold weather.
Moonlight Basin Montana Acquisitions LLC, a property development company operating at Big Sky, has requested an increase to the maximum number of residential units it can build on its 8,700-acre resort property. The company also requested to build 100 additional units in an environmentally sensitive area known as Moonlight Territory.
On the night of Feb. 21, American Legion Post 31 hosted the post-level American Legion High School Scholarship Program speech contest at Twin Bridges High School. The event went well, despite only one brave high school student stepping in front of the crowd.
Compared the rest of the Western United States right now the snowpack in Montana is looking very, very good. Snowpack totals for Jan. 1, 2018 from snow courses and SNOTEL sites in Montana and the rivers that feed Wyoming are near to well above normal in all basins of the state.

The impressions we make on people, especially in emergency situations, can change their lives. Kelsey Cooksey was in a serious accident at the age of 15 and the emergency staff left a profound impact on her family and herself. After recovering from the accident, Cooksey started riding along with her local fire department.
Residents at Madison Valley Manor have been busy. They have completed some crafts they will exhibit at the county fair. They welcomed the addition of Pastor Nathan Nutter, Music and Youth Director at Madison Valley Baptist Church.
