Tom Urell and Jim Singer were out hiking up Jack Creek Trail, U.S. Forest Service Trail 6317, about 10 miles east of Ennis, Mont on Jan. 27. Both men were familiar with the area and were experienced outdoorsmen—both hunters and Singer formally employed at Glacier National Park.

Just a matter of time

As of Tuesday morning, only one Madison Valley Manor (MVM) resident remained in quarantine and the Covid unit inside MVM has been taken down after an outbreak on Jan. 10. Six staff members are still in quarantine.

“Let me just take all my gear off,” Alison Veland, MVM administrator in training, said.

Going nuts for young learners

Nutty Montanan owner Dennis Davies will be the first to admit he’s got neither the time nor the money to take on his most recent project – building and giving away desks for any kid that needs one, “But my intuition tells me I should be doing this,” he said, with 10 desks completed on only his third day into the project.
