Ennis Arts Association announces scholarships

April 15 is the deadline for this year’s Arts Scholarships. The Ennis Arts Association is offering tuition scholarships to Ennis, Harrison, Sheridan and Twin Bridges district students pursuing an arts curriculum. Scholarships are available to high school graduates (or its equivalent), home school graduates, or students from the above school districts already pursuing an arts curriculum in any institution of higher education.

Scholarship details and applications are available at the school guidance counselor’s office or at the Ennis Arts Association website, www.ennisarts.org. Two scholarships for $1000 will be awarded this spring. Also, a onetime $1000.00 Carol McMullan Memorial Scholarship will be awarded.

If you have a family member, neighbor or friend who is planning to pursue an arts curriculum, please encourage them to apply. An art curriculum may include the visual arts such as painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography and other visual media, as well as architecture. Art curriculums may also include the performing arts such as music, theatre, film, and dance as well as literature and interactive media.

The Ennis Arts Association’s (EAA) mission is to promote the local arts and to support local aspiring artists. For more information, email ennisarts@gmail.com.
