Mustangs and Falcons pack Ennis gym for conference rivalry

The Lady Mustangs welcomed the Lady Falcons from Twin Bridges into the Ennis gym for the first of the evening’s varsity games on Jan. 31. From tipoff through the end of the first quarter, the fast-paced game was physical and high scoring. The teams were evenly matched, Ennis leading Twin Bridges 15-13 going into the second quarter.

The Falcons tied the game and then went on a scoring run against the Mustangs with nine unanswered points as time ran down in the half. Mustang Kayla Coffman was sent to the free-throw line with one minute left in the second quarter. She made one of two to score Ennis’ only point of the quarter.

The teams entered the locker room 16-22, Twin Bridges in the lead.
