McKitrick scored on the Mustang’s third play from scrimmage on a sprint to paydirt. Roy Moen added a scoring run on the Mustang’s next possession.
The Bobcats had averaged 54 points per game prior to the contest on Saturday, but the Mustang defense held them to just 27 points.
Ennis held a 14-7 lead at the half did not let up the rest of the game, with quarterback Dalton Bullock started the scoring for Ennis in the third quarter on a shot plunge into the endzone.
Superior kept the game interesting by scoring three straight touchdowns, narrowing the Mustang lead to one point early in the fourth quarter.
McKitrick sealed the deal for the Mustangs late in the fourth with his final touchdown run of the day.
Ennis upended Superior 34-27 and earned a trip to Power-Dutton/Brady on Saturday. The quarter final game will occur at 1:00.
