Wayne Black is no stranger to the communities in the Madison Valley. As the owner of Ennis’ local hardware store since 1980, Black has been catering to residents’ needs for a while.
Last Saturday, Oct. 7, Inge Perkins, a 23-year-old from Bozeman, perished in an avalanche on Imp Peak, between West Yellowstone and Big Sky, according to a Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office news release. Perkins was ascending Imp Peak with 27-year-old Hayden Kennedy on skis when the avalanche was triggered.
The annual Sheridan Days is Sheridan’s main summer event that brings the community together. The three-day happening mostly takes place at the Roy Silve Memorial Baseball Park with a car show, kickball and horseshoe tournament and music in the park, as well as a fireman’s barbeque, parade and brunch at Jackson’s Garden.
