Dave McAdoo may not think his pursuits are “up to snuff” compared with other outdoor recreationists in Madison County, but there is no denying he takes full advantage of what Mother Nature offers.
The Madison County Fair Board, in conjunction with the community, has a few big decisions to make in the next month, which they discussed at their Sept. 21 meeting in Twin Bridges. The county is working with Great West Engineering to develop a master plan for the fairgrounds, and the board’s input will guide that document.
Oct. 1 – 7, 2017, marks the 77th anniversary of National Newspaper Week. NNW is coordinated by Newspaper Association Managers, Inc., a consortium of North American trade associations representing the industry on a state and provincial, regional and national level. Throughout the week, the journalism community will pause to recognize the importance of newspapers and celebrate their significance. Falcons soar to first win, Panthers lose first game.
The Sheridan Panthers scored 33 unanswered points at their home opener on Friday, Sept. 1, which propelled them to their second win in as many games.
Savinski, who moved to the Ruby Valley full time three years ago after recreating in the area for years, along with his friend Howard Chrest, who has called Sheridan home since 1960, reached out to Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks earlier this year about making it easier for recreators to access the Ruby River.
On Thursday, Aug. 24 at approximately 10:30 p.m., lightning started a fire 7 miles northeast of Whitehall, near Conrow Creek.
From the second the football was in motion at Scully Field in Ennis on Friday night, the Mustangs were in control.
